About Us:
We are a congregation who through faith and practice seek to be a part of the one church that Jesus established on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2). We accept Christ as our head and the New Testament as the sole guide in spiritual matters. We are not a part of any religious organization or denomination. We do not at present have elders, but we look forward to the time when we will have qualified men to appoint as elders, who will then oversee the work of this congregation. Our membership is made up of people who were earlier in life members of many denominations. There are young and old. There are employed, unemployed and retirees, but when all is said and done we are simply FAMILY.
The Restoration Movement of the late eighteenth and early nineteenth century was a very important period in our history. Some might say we are a product of that movement, but our lineage goes all the way back to the day of Pentecost as recorded in the Book of Acts. We do our best to abide by one slogan of the Restoration Movement ----"speak where the Bible speaks and remain silent where it is silent." By this we mean that the Bible is our only authority upon which we base our worship and practices. We do not impose on ourselves traditions or practices that have no scriptural basis. We continually study the Word with the desire of ever coming closer to what Jesus expects of a congregation of His children.

History of our church:
The Romeo Congregation has existed since the early 1950's and was incorporated in 1957. We first met in a house on Gates, then in the church building on Lafayette at Fremont. After outgrowing that building we rented the high school Sunday mornings and used the Community Youth Center on Sunday evenings until our current building was purchased about 29 years ago. The following men have been our ministers: John DiMarzio, George (Flip) Filpansick, Don Wray, Michael Jacobs, John Cannon, and Don Wright. Our current minister, Chase Pratt, has been with us since the beginning of 2017.
About our Minister:
Chase Pratt took over the role of full-time minister from Don Wright in January of 2018. He holds a bachelor's degree in Youth Ministry and Biblical Studies and a master's degree in ministry, both from Rochester Christian University. He also teaches 2nd grade at Marlette Elementary.
